TheSaxophonist.org is now accepting original, unpublished, research-based articles via blind peer-review. Saxophone-based topics can include but are not limited to:

History
-
Pedagogy
-
Literature
-
Performance practice
-
Instrument develop
Additionally, jazz performance practice, history, and technique, as well as woodwind performance and pedagogy, will be considered as long as it centers around the saxophone.
Manuscript requirements

Abstract of no more than 300 words. This abstract should clearly outline that goals and objectives of the document.

Where there is no set limit on length, documents in the 5000-7000 (not including citations or notes).word range are generally more reader-friendly.

The document should be submitted in Word .doc or .docx formats with no identifiable names, markings or logos.

All permissions (for musical examples, photos, etc.) should be documented either through accompanying documentation or through copyright within the document itself.

Submission cannot be previously published or simultaneously submitted to another publication.

All submissions must be publication ready. Submissions that lack proper grammar, punctuation or rules of style will be rejected.

You must include a brief biography of no more than 300 words as well as a digital photo.

Reviews will take 3-4 weeks to review and those chosen will be notified of acceptance as well as potential publication dates.
